Caboose: Indica-dominant hybrid descending from Trainwreck heritage

CABOOSE - GENETICS AND APPEARANCE

Caboose is an indica-dominant hybrid and a famous Californian cut, that is a cross of the original Trainwreck and Salmon Creek Big Bud. This strain has a characteristic mineral-like taste, with hints of citrus and flowers in the background - a very complex flavour. It won 3rd place in the Spannabis "Indoor Category" in 2015. The buds are dense and irregular, which is common with plants of the Trainwreck heritage, and it has large crystals and short orange pistils.

CABOOSE - EFFECTS

Caboose hits fast, like a high-speed train. The effect does not last extremely long but is quite intense. It starts off as a trippy, stoned experience, then slowly fades into an enormously relaxing and couch-locked high. If you have things to accomplish that day, it might be best to smoke the Caboose once you're finished with everything. It's not the recommended strain for productive or creative endeavours.

Aside from a blissful and relaxing high, Caboose offers a wide range of therapeutic benefits. It's a 70% indica and 30% sativa strain, meaning the medicinal properties can vary slightly by harvest. Overall, the most common health effects reported with this strain are improved appetite, pain relief, sleep aid, nausea suppression, and treatment of depression and anxiety. Caboose is an 18% THC and 2% CBD strain, which is considered high in THC and with an average CBD content.

CABOOSE - GROWING AND HARVEST

Height wise, Caboose grows compact, with short internodes and wide branches. The leaves are long and overlapping, with a lovely, rich green colour and distinctive purple undertones. This is a wonderful strain for beginners to grow, considering it does well in all mediums and can be grown inside or outside. The flowering time is average for an indica - around eight weeks. You can expect a yield of around 1000g/plant. Harvest time is in October, so get ready to enjoy a relaxing fall season with the intoxicating and aromatic Caboose.
