Zativo caters to private customers only, and does not supply commercial or industrial growers with large amounts of cannabis seeds. If we have reason to suspect that the ordered seeds are destined for growing cannabis on a larger-than-private scale, we reserve the right to dismiss that specific order.

Pests and Diseases

Pests and disease will always be a problem for cannabis growers. They offer a persistent threat and infection could mean all the difference between success and failure. Only the foolish and unprepared would ignore the risk they present. Even letting a minor infection or infestation go unchallenged can stunt your marijuana crop, or cause enough stress to force hermaphrodite growth.

Outdoors, pests and disease are partially controlled by changing weather conditions and predators. This can help control pest numbers and give your plants a fighting chance to resist. However, these foreign entities will thrive in a clean, warm indoor grow room that has no natural predators or adverse conditions to battle. Things can quickly get out of control – you should deal with any threat immediately.

Some cannabis strains have a higher natural resistance than others. This will give you more time to deal with the problems faced. Some cultivators may even go as far as to say that a few pests can do your plants good, causing a response of natural resistance within the cannabis, toughening it up and making it grow stronger. However, there is a very fine line here; you walk a knife's edge when you decide to purposefully introduce insidious living organisms into your grow room with hopes you can control them. Look at it this way, would you put your loved ones in a fight with a wild animal, hoping it would toughen them up? Hoping against all hopes that you could control things from getting out of hand? Its not worth it. Trust us.

The following articles should hopefully go some way to explain some of the different pests and diseases you may encounter during a cannabis grow, and how to effectively combat them.
