The CBD Crew is one of the best seed companies when it comes to creating medical cannabis strains. With CBD Therapy, they released a long-awaited strain that is super rich in CBD. It should be noted that CBD Therapy still contains THC, even though it is a lower-than-average dose, due to its genetic background that solely consists of recreational, high-THC cannabis strains.

CBD THERAPY - GENETICS

The genetic background and history of CBD Therapy are both quite complex. It took the CBD crew 4 years to stabilize this strain before its release on the market. It was tested both in the USA (The WercShop) and Europe (Fundación CANNA, Spain) to ensure the special ratio of this cultivar. They received great feedback, however, some growers reported higher THC percentages. As a result, the CBD crew checked back on CBD Therapy and intensively tested it again. There is a very slight chance that there are still a few seeds circulating that will have higher THC values, but they will always be rich in CBD, no matter what. The ratio ranges from 20:1 to 2:1 (CBD : THC) but there will never be more THC than CBD present. CBD Crew is working to further stabilize the plant.

The genetics of this hybrid are very well balanced with 50% indica and 50% sativa genes. You can expect beautiful, medicinal buds after 8-9 weeks of flowering. Indoor growers will yield 500g/m² under a 600W light, whereas outdoor growers can harvest a medium amount of CBD-rich cannabis at the end of September or the beginning of October. In both environments, CBD Therapy will reach only medium heights which makes her pretty manageable.

CBD THERAPY - THC AND CBD

What sets this plant apart, is its very low THC content. It can be as low as 0.5%, while the CBD content can hit 8-10%. The ideal ratio that some phenos of CBD Therapy will be able to produce is 20:1 (CBD:THC). This strain not only has important therapeutic effects which patients can benefit from, but it is also very flavourful. The flavour is sweet and fruity, but with an earthiness to it that resembles truffle.
