Strain Hunters tracked down an exceptionally fruity variety called Erdbeer, which literally means strawberry in the Germanic language. This particular strain was secretively developed in Switzerland and is surrounded by an aura of mystery. Only a tight circle of covert breeders knows its true origins, and there seems to be a pledge to keep it that way. A fine specimen of this strain was cloned and is suspected to have been crossed with a close relative of White Widow – possibly El Niño. The result is an incredibly resinous plant that “stinks” of strawberries.
The genetics are split halfway between sativa and indica, but growth patterns seem to take more from the tropical side. A 9-week flowering period will produce a very tall plant with high yields, reaching up to 1kg/plant outdoors in the right conditions. She is a light feeder and will grow out elongated branches meaning you will probably need to arrange some sort of support for the top-heavy and packed buds, like a tomato cage or a trellis. Either that or attempt some training. Indoors she will benefit from stronger blowing fans to help toughen up the stems. Expect dozens of bud sites of irregular size and shape.
If you have a sweet tooth, make it your mission to try White Strawberry Skunk at least once in your life. It is one of the fruitiest and sweetest strains ever to exist. Adding the skunk element to it, one could easily say it is intensely musky with the ever so slight touch of sour cream hidden in the back. It delivers a slow-creeping head high, which makes it a sociable smoke that reduces anxiety. Once it sets in, it will last for quite a while. It does have a body calming effect but will not couch lock you.
