Due to the selective breeding and its amazing qualities, Utopia Haze won the 2008 High Times Cannabis Cup in the category for Best Sativa and was runner-up in the general category. The ratio of sativa and indica genes in this strain is 90:10 showcasing the Brazilian sativa heritage.
With the aforementioned careful selective breeding, Barney's Farm made a strain that is very resistant to mold and diseases and that can be grown indoors as well as outdoors. These qualities make the Utopia Haze suitable for beginner growers. Sativa traits come in the form of height and flowering time: it is a tall plant that grows up to 130cm while it takes 70-75 days to flower.
