This mostly-sativa strain has a remarkable history of success. Back in the old days, in the 1970’s, experienced growers from Holland got their hands on some very potent South African sativa genetics and created a beast. Continuous inbreeding over many years resulted in a powerful plant which is ready to defy the challenges nature throws at it. Strong winds, heavy rainfall and mold. Bring it on!

The story begins with the man, the legend, Ed Rosenthal. During the 70’s, he travelled to the South African port city, Durban. He discovered some of the dankest sativa landraces, selecting and stabilizing them to develop the ultimate sativa. After collecting some samples, Amsterdam got hold of these magnificent genetics, and Durban Poison was brought to light. Dutch Passion decided to improve the old-school genetics, to enhance the growth patterns and highs.
Durban genetics quickly acclimatised to the north European climate. The plants can withstand the wind, cold temperatures and mould. In other words, it’s a badass sativa. Both indoor and outdoor growers can experience some serious yields. Durban Poison reaches about 200-300cm in outdoor settings; classic sativa heights. After only 8.5 weeks of flowering, this cultivar is ready for harvest and the curing process.
The high THC levels induce some serious mind elevations. This sativa-dominant strain makes the consumer go “woooooaahhhh”. If one wishes to experience uplifting vibes and happy thoughts, Durban Poison will deliver. Dutch Passion created these feminized seeds specifically for old-school ganja connoisseurs, curious minds, and lovers of the classics.
