ICE COOL - BACKGROUND AND GENETICS
Sweet Seeds developed Ice Cool from a NYC Diesel line and created a multiple-award-winning strain. They describe it as a "sativa cocktail" which mostly refers to its genetics and effect rather than being a full-blown sativa strain. Ice Cool is comprised of 60% sativa and 40% indica genes and is available in feminized format. Because of her potent effect, she is particularly popular in Spain.
ICE COOL - GROWTH AND YIELD
The plant has the wonderful appearance and bud growth of an indica strain. Ice Cool finishes flowering after 9 weeks. She grows fast and robust. The resin production is over the top which makes for some nice concentrates. When the plant is in full bloom and right before harvest, the exuberant resin production makes it look like snowy mountain peaks (hence the name). The buds are hard and dense. Ice Cool doesn't have too many leaves compared to the bud amount so trimming is an easy job here.
She is an extremely good yielder with a bounty of 400-500g/m² for indoors growers. Outdoor gardeners can achieve impressive 350-550g/plant and can harvest in late September. The strain is very resilient against diseases and mold which is always a plus, especially outdoors.
ICE COOL - AROMA AND EFFECT
The aroma of Ice Cool is super-strong and exotic with lemony and Diesel-like nuances. Some tokers say it smells and tastes like grapefruit. The taste also has some earthy, sweet and fruity tones in there.
While the growth and structure of this lady show her indica side, the effect is all the way sativa. With THC levels reaching 20-22%, Ice Cool gives you a long-lasting, psychedelic high. Expect to be overwhelmed by euphoric feelings. This is for sure an ultra-potent effect that beginners should approach slowly because of its intensity.
